Another shock from Gazzman last night

gasman_coul.jpgHere is what I know:
Tvice was playing with Nulook at Marabou Cafe last night. I left Boston early Thursday only to be at that bal. Another big dissapointment. T-vice started to play around midnight. I am not a T-vice fan but I gave them the benfits of the doubt that there was a valuable reason for the late start knowing that T-Vice has a proven record in discipline. May be there was an explaination since I left Marabou to grab something to eat and came back. When I came back around 1245, T-vice had already started to play. T-vice left the stage around 2. Decent performance but there was a sound issue all night long. By the time for Nulook to start playing it was around 3. Then there was a small altercation between 2 people (fans) at the bal. All of a sudden Gazzman and Roro (gongist) started to argue the time that T-vce left the stage. Gazzman said 2:05 and Roro said 2:15. The argument heated up to the point that I witnessed a young girl pulling Gazzman away from Roro. (there was no fight between Roro and Gazzma, at least not yet). Then Gazzman came back on the stage, grab his jacket and left the bal without any explaination to the public. Arly made a fool out of himself again by saying that Gazzman left because his friend got hurt and he had to take him to the hospital. Stupid justification for his band mate and shame on you Maestro.

SANDERS PARENTS’ LETTER TO KM ABOUT REYNALDO’S COMMENT!

harmmonic.jpgMARTHE & PIERRE SOLON: “I am writing this not to get into petty polemics but really as a parent to clarify certain allegations that I read on Kompamagazine.com about my son Sanders.First of all we do not use certain terms in our conversations whether in English, French, or Creole. So calling my son Ko*rat is the lowest one can stoop.

Allow me to tell you a bit about Sanders before I proceed. In Haiti, Sanders was raised in a Christian family, he went to Lillyput Kindergarden and his first giflt was a piano. He attended elementary school at St Jean L’evangeliste. His after school activities were music, reading and soccer with Patrice Dumond as a coach.

On weekends, we would take him to music lessons at Jean Bernard Blain, his tutor at the time. My son attended St Louis de Gonzague for his grade school education where he joined the school band. During that time, he continued going to music lessons on the weekend at College Bird and Ste Trinite with Dickens Princivil (His tutor at the time).

What I am saying is that I tried my best to keep my son busy and away from mediocrity. When Sanders left Haiti, he had the option to become either an architect or an entertainer but he chose the latter instead. He is our son and I supported his decision. He went to SAE institute and graduated with a degree in sound and audio engineering.

Had it been for me alone, Sanders would’ve been at Julliard School of Music as we speak because I was ready to make the sacrifices necessary in order to expose him to the best. Sanders is very talented, he decided to stay at Reginald’s not because he didn’t have a choice but because he wanted to be in the midst of people in the HMI. Sanders’ bedroom is still open and waiting in all 3 houses.

According to a study done by USCIS, the Haitian immigrant is one of the least successful. Why? one might ask. Well it is because we come here and we settle for chicanery and mediocrity. Let US set for higher standard. Let us make a difference in this blessed land. Let us give our youngsters good examples. May 18th is our national flag day let us celebrate it in union. L’union fait la force, vive Haiti, vive our youth and God bless us all.
